Experience: 7+ years in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on automation frameworks and frontend testing.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Test Automation Strategy: Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams to define and implement comprehensive test automation strategies aligned with product objectives and user expectations.
- Framework Design and Maintenance: Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for UI and API testing using tools like Playwright. Ensure ease of use, performance, and adaptability for cross-project needs.
- Regression and Integration Testing: Develop and manage automated test suites for regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing to ensure application quality across multiple environments and configurations.
- Troubleshooting and Debugging: Quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve bugs in collaboration with developers. Provide clear documentation and reproducible test cases for defect tracking.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket build pipeline to enable faster and safer deployments.
- Technical Leadership: Lead QA best practices, perform peer reviews of test code, and actively participate in architectural and sprint planning discussions. Stay updated on emerging automated testing technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.
- AI Tooling: Explore and utilize AI-assisted tools for test case generation, defect prediction, and analysis to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong Programming Skills: Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript with deep knowledge of testing fullstack applications.
- Framework Expertise: Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Cypress or Playwright
- API Testing: Solid experience testing APIs using tools like Postman and Pactumjs
- Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP for test environment provisioning.
- Modern CI/CD Practices: Proven ability to build and maintain test automation in CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance and load testing tools.
- Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and tools to automate related testing.
- Experience with AI-based testing solutions (e.g., Testim, momentic.ai).
- Previous experience working in agile/scrum teams and familiarity with Agile QA processes.
- Contribution to design systems or component-level testing (e.g., Storybook integration).
